Role: Quality Manager
Objective: Manage the Metalsa Quality System and ensure that plant meet all quality system requirements to maintain the customer Certification, IATF 16949: and ISO9001.
What does a day-in-the-life look like?
- Customer service regarding quality performance and customer required testing in our products
- Maintain and improve the performance of Quality ratings with the customers
- Assure the quality of products from raw materials receipt to finished product delivery
- Maintain and improve the quality operating system
- Assure the solution of quality problems in products (external and internal)
- Promote the continuous improvement in our processes
- Provide support in the implementation of new projects
- Manage data collection system, ensure timely and accurate data at all times
- Manage containment activities on a daily basis
What you will bring:
Experience
- 5-7 years of Quality experience (Required)
- 3-5 years of proven managerial experience (Required)
- Automotive Quality related experience (Required)
- Program Management experience (Preferred)
- IATF Auditing Experience (Preferred)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a quality related field – (Required)
Suggested Skills
- Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Proven experience in structured training (I.E. SPC. GR&R, PPAP)
- Proven experience in establishing auditing structure and auditing experience
- Statistical Process Control experience and able to demonstrate knowledge
- Control plan development experience
- Ability to understand CMM reported data.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- PFMEA, DOE development experience
- Dimensional gauging experience
- Ability to understand Welding Symbols and to understand weld section data.
- Quality Systems Management
- Human Development Management
- Cross functional leadership
- Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
- Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding, Hydroforming)
- Logistics

- Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately
- Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant
- Be proactively involved with improving working conditions.
- Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
- Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
- 100% on-time delivery to customer
- Target 0 PPM on parts for all our customers (Metalsa and customer standard: 10 or less PPM)
- Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
