The Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager is responsible for delivering service to both internal and external customers in alignment with the Bank’s mission and customer service standards. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining processes, procedures, and policies with respect to the Bank’s Commercial Loan Portfolio.


Responsibilities

·        Set-up and maintain accurate commercial loan files, including collection of reporting requirement items for the life of the loan. 

·        Prepare and review commercial loan documentation for new and renewed loans. Process all funding/closing costs post-closing. 

·        Provide administrative support to lending staff.

·        Work with lending staff and third-party professionals (attorneys, appraisers, inspectors, etc.) to ensure loans are closed in conformity with approved terms and conditions. This requires reviewing and understanding the approved credit memos to ensure accuracy.

·        Verify that pre-closing conditions have been met before funding is authorized.

·        Interact with appropriate staff in Bank reviews or examinations. Follow-up and correct any items addressed and ensure changes are implemented timely.

·        Develop and maintain a schedule to post close all Commercial Loans within 60-90 days of closing.

·        Develop and maintain a schedule to clear any outstanding post-closing exceptions. Review report monthly.

·        Process discharges for loans that are paid off.

·        Ensure the loan portfolio is compliant with all Bank policies and regulatory requirements.

·        Act as settlement agent when applicable for purchase transactions.

·        Assist Clients with servicing such as loan and account research, transactions, and problem solve client issues.

·        Liaise between other departments within the bank to provide customer service.

·        Assist Relationship Managers with past due loan accounts and maturing loans by reviewing reports.

·        Responsible for on-going portfolio maintenance activities, and customer support for an assigned portfolio of existing credits and prospects.

·        Support the mission of Bank of Burlington to broaden the client relationships by helping to identify opportunities such as Treasury Management Services, Business Credit Cards, additional accounts, sales opportunities etc.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or education; or three to five years related experience
