Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, recording all transactions related to revenue and expenses, and reconciling all accounts for monthly and annual closing of the books.

OBJECTIVES

Strong accounting experience in AP, AR, inventory, prepaids, accruals, maintaining GL, and researching discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation & Credit Card Reconciliation

Maintain records of financial transactions by posting, verifying, and allocating appropriately within accounting systems

Perform reconciliations – monthly/quarterly/annually

Maintain complete digital files and work papers that support financial records

Update financial data promptly and ensure it is accurate via weekly soft reconciliations

Proactively identify, propose solutions, and/or communicate to the supervisor in a timely manner if the information is not accurate or the close deadlines will be missed.

Assist in year-end audit requests

Other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc requests and reports


COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of best practices for performing month-end closings

Ability to track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules

Understanding of how to prepare the trial balance

Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)

Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Sharepoint, etc.)

CRM Experience preferred ( Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)

E-commerce Platform Experience desirable (Amazon, Shopify, Big Commerce, etc.)

Experience with AP tools such as Bill.com

Strong with numbers and figures and possession of analytical acumen

Ability to work with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas

Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance

At least 2-5 years’ progressively responsible experience in Accounting and Financial management practices


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer
