Master Production Scheduler
Position Overview
Responsible for preparing a master production schedule to support an efficient execution in production as well as meeting the sales and inventory demands. The Production Control Specialist will be responsible for setting up new products in the electronic database as well as maintaining existing products.
Job Responsibilities
Production Planning – Review the sales in the system as well as other forecast inputs to develop the master production schedule on a daily and weekly basis. Work with the production team to develop the schedule that can be executed efficiently while still meeting customer demands. Work with the marketing and production teams to understand priorities and promise dates for new and existing products. Review the upcoming schedules to provide input to the buying team to ensure materials arrive when needed for production.
Product Maintenance and New Products – Maintain existing bills of materials and routings in the electronic database. Work with the engineering and marketing teams to update products as needed when changes occur. Set up new part numbers, bills of materials, and routings in the electronic database based on the input provided from engineering and marketing. Assist engineering and marketing to determine new part numbers and the best approach for product set up in the system. Maintain database for Label Matrix and the printers associated. Conduct weekly time studies in conjunction with the engineering team to update routings in the system and review opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
· 2 or more years’ experience in scheduling and database management
· 3 or more years’ experience in manufacturing
· Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience with Sage and Microsoft Office
