You Can Play is searching for a bright and engaged team member - proactive and passionate about LGBTQ+ sport advocacy and our partners we serve. Our Sports Partnerships team lead the development of our partnerships, service our existing partners and always strive to find opportunities to generate more interaction and stronger partnerships. To succeed in this position, our new team member should have exceptional communication and organization skills and a passion for LGBTQ+ sport inclusion.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of partnership with designated sport partners on behalf of You Can Play, including soccer partners and others.
  • Work with established partners to build and maintain strong relationships and build trust and value for them; ensuring they have what they need to make their sport more inclusive and open to the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Set regular calls and check-ins with partners to consistently interact with their organization to most effectively learn their operations and how You Can Play can support their efforts.
  • Communicate You Can Play’s goals and values, and update partners on any new products, programs, or marketing initiatives from You Can Play.
  • Identify opportunities for the partner and You Can Play to work together to raise funds for You Can Play and the greater LGBTQ+ community.
  • Actively listen to each partner to gain perfect understanding of their individualized needs and operations, collecting key data and information.
  • Properly manage partners’ expectations and follow through on commitments
  • Lead the development of material and resources for partners, including playbooks, presentations, etc. along with Head of Education and Content
  • Support YCP social media with content and ideas along with Head of Education and Content
  • Produce and send a sport partner specific communication to be sent (at least) once a month with best practice, new ideas, showcase of partner wins, challenges, etc.
  • Collaborate with You Can Play team members, board and volunteers to solve partner challenges and fulfill You Can Play commitment.


Qualifications:

  • Radically accountable, engaged, problem solver
  • Sport (soccer or similar) experience and passion
  • Partnership management/development experience, CRM
  • Sales or Marketing experience (helpful)
  • Program and operations experience (helpful)
  • Material and Resource development (preferred)


**The position is a contract role, will be remote but candidates must be based in the USA or Canada and be eligible to work. The role reports to the You Can Play Chief Operating Officer.
