Our client, a popular fashion brand, is seeking a Temporary Benefits Specialist to join their team in New York


Benefits focused experience is a must, and fashion/ beauty industry experience is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new hire benefits orientations and act as a centralized point of contact and responding to escalated questions regarding firm benefits, understanding benefits eligibility rules for all benefit plans.
  • Organize Wellness and engagement activities including Benefit Fairs, webinars and other events.
  • Manage Benefits Compliance Matrix and take necessary actions to maintain compliance.
  • Project manage benefits communications including global engagement activities and required employee benefits-related notices (SARs, Medicare, etc.) and consistently updates the communications calendar.
  • Act as liaison for all Worker’s Compensation claims including coordinating with vendor, legal, Talent Development Partners and claimants
  • Manage the interactive process for all Accommodation requests.
  • Assist with leave program escalations (FMLA, Disability, parental, etc.).
  • Assist with the Benefits budget process including updates for annual and quarterly reviews with Finance.
  • Work with Benefits Director on other benefit related projects and issues as requested.


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, primarily in Benefits-related roles.
  • Knowledge of common employee benefits offerings (health & welfare, retirement), leave types (FMLA, STD, LTD) and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation rules and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and use conclusions to craft recommendations.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, process efficiency, and user experience.
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and professionally when speaking, writing, facilitating, and presenting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Workday as the HR system.
