We are seeking a highly motivated Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team at GARRISON ASSOCIATES LLC. This full-time position involves providing administrative support for our benefits program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and delivering exceptional service to employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Benefits Specialist will be responsible for:
- Managing HRIS data entry, including Qualifying Events, COBRA administration, Open Enrollment, and other related tasks
- Providing support to employees through email and phone inquiries, serving as the first point of contact for the team
- Organizing and delivering weekly New Hire Benefits Orientation sessions
- Collaborating with vendors to provide assistance to employees with benefit-related inquiries
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting for management needs
- Maintaining relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure seamless service delivery
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least 3-5 years of experience in-house administration and health plan administration
- Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security, and DOL requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle Cloud (HCM) and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Windows applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
