Job Description:

A Technical Sales Specialist has a key role in our Sales process. They need to understand customers’ needs and design a good strategy to generate and drive new leads to close sales.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales process: finding new leads, updating the CRM, quoting and driving new leads to closed sales using consultative selling
  • 80% travel visiting prospective customers (average 4 days per week in field / 1 day admin)
  • Organizing and leading seminars/webinars
  • Arranging, planning and leading customer demos
  • Attending 2-4 annual conferences
  • Generating quotes

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in a life science field such as biology or biochemistry (preferred PhD or MSc)
  • 5+ Years experience in a relevant role (sales and/or research)
  • Interest in working in a start-up environment with varying responsibilities as needed
  • Enthusiastic about keeping and making valuable connections within academia/biotech in the given territory
  • Self-starter attitude with an interest in working independently
  • Driver's license
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
