Job Summary

This position is for a Quality Assurance Specialist who will lead the functional verification and validation of products and services. This position is a hands-on role in a test lab and manufacturing environment. The QA Specialist will be responsible for verifying the product hardware, supporting product development, and manufacturing. The QA Specialist reports directly to Senior Management. You will work with the Program Manager and Project Leads to assure that products are of the highest quality exceeding all requirements and specifications.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of professional experience working as a Quality Assurance/Control representative
  • Certified ISO-9001:2015 Internal Auditor
  • Employees for this position must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Current U.S. work authorization
  • Have thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
  • Experience with standard professional test lab equipment and its operation
  • Experience with quality analysis and process tools
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interaction
  • Have thorough knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-WHAM-A-620, IPC-A-630 IPC-0040
  • Have in-depth knowledge of ISO-9001:2015 Policies and Procedures


Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be able to ensure the quality aspects in all phases of company operations including:

  • Creating Process Control Documents (PCD) and detailed Work Instructions (WI)
  • Ensure that finished products conform to specified requirements
  • Analyze and communicate test results
  • Assist in all training as applicable
  • Ensure product integrity, to include assembly, rework, functional, and acceptance testing
  • Analyzes failures in quality to improve product reliability and quality assurance processes, practices, and procedures
  • Assist in the development and implementation of systems to ensure the quality of parts, raw material, and finished goods
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance Standards including ISO and IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) processes
  • Participates in product design, development, and implementation
  • Provide direction and leadership for the quality assurance function to production areas
  • Works with Senior Management to identify areas and methods to improve assembly, implementation, and testing to increase product reliability and profit
  • You will need to be able to prioritize and schedule your tasks using the "Schedule, Cost, Performance, and Quality" model to improve the reliability of products and improvement of overall operations
