Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assessments: Conduct inspections and evaluations of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure adherence to RASIRC and client specifications.
  • Data Evaluation: Review test outcomes against set standards. Document results promptly and accurately. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) for data assessment. Report any irregularities to the QC supervisor and assist in implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Detect and report any discrepancies or non-compliance in the production workflow. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enact corrective strategies.
  • Internal Compliance Audits: Execute internal audits of production methods and facilities to verify adherence to standard operating procedures, quality benchmarks, and organizational cleanliness (5S) standards. Summarize audit findings for management, devise corrective action plans with responsible parties, and monitor the progress of these actions.
  • Management of Non-Conforming Products: Identify, isolate, document, and track non-compliant materials and products. Generate reports detailing the nature of non-conformities and facilitate material review boards with relevant personnel to determine product disposition.
  • Customer Return Evaluations: Assess products returned by customers against original reports, compile summary evaluations, and collaborate with customer-facing teams to decide on appropriate responses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is calibrated, properly maintained, and operational. Conduct routine maintenance and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Documentation: Keep thorough and precise records of all quality control activities, test results, and inspections. Prepare reports as required by the QC Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience: Entry-level position. Previous experience in quality assurance, laboratory settings, or relevant military service is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Personal Attributes: Quick learner; ability to follow instructions meticulously; keen attention to detail; strong analytical capabilities to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make informed decisions based on data.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
Additional Requirements
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in environments requiring frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
