Position Summary: MI Technical Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our SCORE-SNAIRS project. The selected candidate will oversee quality programs related to the installation and maintenance of various electronic systems, networks, cabling, and associated technologies. Candidates should possess substantial experience in quality management and a solid understanding of US Navy shipboard engineering protocols and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, interpret, and enhance company quality assurance standards.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of complaint and nonconformance processing through effective record-keeping and tracking systems, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Document quality assurance activities through comprehensive internal reporting and audits.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of advanced quality standards for implementation across all company operations.
  • Advise management on quality improvements based on insights gained from audits, investigations, and special studies.
  • Ensure all work undergoes the necessary inspections and complies with the latest applicable plans, specifications, and directives.
  • Oversee and validate testing and inspections when quality checks are mandated.
  • Record inspection outcomes in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring completeness and accuracy of inspection forms.
  • Support management by tracking, documenting, and reporting on quality performance metrics.
  • Develop and uphold procedures for identifying, investigating, and documenting quality deficiencies and risk management issues.
  • Investigate potential quality-related failures to determine root causes and necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and support on quality assurance systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
  • Possess the ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Verify that completed work packages meet deliverable requirements for customers, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
  • Have a working knowledge of ship and shore facility requirements for general repair and modernization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for DOD secret security clearance is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methodologies, and tools.
  • Recent experience in quality assurance (5 years preferred).
  • Proficient computer skills, including database and records management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Expertise in knowledge capture, lessons learned, and best practices in auditing, testing, configuration control, and defect management.
  • Prior military experience is preferred.
