PMC is seeking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Specialist to join our team at Ouachita Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Office Specialist at Ouachita Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe, LA. The Business Office Specialist will be responsible for office administration tasks and handling accounts receivable (AR). As the Business Office Specialist, you will play a key role in the daily financial operations of our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily office operations, including handling correspondence with LADHH Medicaid office, strong Accounts Receivable collections, accounting of resident funds, month end reconciliation, data entry and filing.
- Support admissions team in financial administrative tasks including insurance verification and financial interviews.
- Assist with billing by ensuring accuracy in coding between departments as well as reconciling external facility charges.
- Handle inquiries from residents, families, Medicaid analyst and vendors in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Maintain and update financial records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical Records management
- Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
