Credit and Collections Specialist Canyon Creek Cabinet Company Monroe, WA Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist Major responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with dealers and contractors, collecting accounts receivable, recommending changes to credit status and limits on accounts including forwarding for third party collection, reconciling customer accounts, and addressing concerns from Canyon Creek Cabinet Company personnel and customers. Apply daily deposits to customer accounts. Communicate cash application discrepancies to customer and appropriate department for resolution. Email quotes to prepay customers/sales reps for payment. Pull credit reports and obtain trade references for new and existing customers. Build and support relationships with dealer and contractor accounts. Maintain accurate credit and collections files and electronic collection notes for each customer account. Perform collection calls on past due accounts, negotiate and help bring solutions for past due balances. Respond to customers inquiries via phone and/or email. Reconcile customer accounts. Maintain customer resale certificates in Avalara Exemption Certificate Manager (FKA CertCapture), contacting customers when new certificates are required. Monitor the financial condition of accounts and recommend changes in credit status and/or credit limits, as necessary. Recommend placing accounts for third-party collection. Review and/or release orders on credit hold. Update account profiles with new billing/account information. Monitor product production and shipment to maintain control of delinquent accounts and ensure credit control within established credit limits. Recommend stopping production and/or shipping of product. Work closely with Credit Manager as needed with daily tasks and responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Highly effective Team Player with the ability to communicate with all audiences. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years related experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction industry. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot through customer issues. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with accounting principles. Work performed in a temperature-controlled office with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions. At times hearing protection and safety glasses may be needed when entering the manufacturing area. Work surfaces are primarily carpeted office areas with desk and workstation provided.
