About the Role

SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is excited to announce an opportunity for a visionary Executive Chef to lead the kitchen for a new luxury dining concept opening soon in New York City. This role offers the chance to create and drive an entirely new fine dining experience that promises to redefine modern cuisine with French influences at the highest level. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping this new concept, delivering an exquisite culinary journey for our discerning guests, and setting a new standard in the luxury dining space. ONLY CANDIDATES WITH APPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR SETTING WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Responsibilities

  • Concept & Menu Development: Design an innovative and memorable menu that embodies modern culinary techniques with a strong foundation in French gastronomy. Highlight seasonality, creativity, and luxury through every dish, from development to execution.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build a talented kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that aligns with the establishment's luxury positioning. Provide ongoing training to maintain the highest culinary and service standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management, to ensure efficiency and consistency. Collaborate closely with the management team to seamlessly integrate kitchen and service operations.
  • Quality and Consistency: Establish and uphold rigorous standards for quality and consistency across all dishes, maintaining the restaurant’s fine dining reputation from pre-opening to ongoing service.
  • Guest Experience: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure that the guest experience is cohesive and exceptional. Address guest feedback with professionalism, adjusting to meet evolving preferences and elevate the dining experience.
  • Supplier Relations: Source the finest ingredients by building relationships with premium suppliers and artisans, ensuring top-tier products that align with the restaurant’s luxury standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation protocols. Ensure the kitchen environment reflects the establishment’s commitment to cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 8 years of fine dining experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a Chef de Cuisine or Head Chef role at a highly regarded New York City restaurant. Strong expertise in modern cuisine and a foundation in French culinary techniques are essential.
  • Leadership: Proven success in leading, developing, and motivating a team in a high-expectation, fast-paced kitchen. Ability to inspire excellence and maintain a collaborative and focused work environment.
  • Creative Vision: A track record of culinary creativity, with a passion for developing innovative menus that offer both elegance and excitement.
  • Financial Acumen: Competence in managing kitchen budgets, controlling food and labor costs, and maximizing efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Culinary Degree (preferred): Degree in Culinary Arts or comparable professional experience, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and innovations.
