PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE

The Information Technology System Administrator's primary responsibility is to ensure the organization's computer systems function properly. Duties include supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer servers and networks.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing the overall IT strategy
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems
  • Coordinate with company leadership to determine new
  • Manage systems such as Windows, Linux, or Mac systems and network equipment
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and application software
  • Troubleshoot IT issues and provide technical support to employees
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure
  • Create and manage user accounts and system permissions, backups, and safeguard data
  • Track emerging technologies and implementing them in the organization
  • Review the history of incidents after they occur to help improve feedback cycles between IT and software designers


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • Four (4) years related work experience
  • Proficiency with major operating systems and a strong working knowledge of programming languages
  • Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE)
  • Oracle Linux System Administrator (Oracle)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • CompTIA Server+
  • VMware Certified Professional 6- Data Center Virtualization
