Location: Roanoke, VA - Must be willing to relocate to Roanoke, VA, full relocation package and competitive salary offered.
The Manager of Project Administration - IOU will lead and oversee a team of project administrators to organize, manage, and plan complex projects related to the organization's research, development, and product implementation efforts. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within specifications, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outline the tasks involved in projects and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
- Conduct cost analysis and estimate expected costs for projects.
- Prepare and implement budgets based on cost estimates.
- Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout project lifecycles.
- Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
- Communicate and collaborate with sales and engineering teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for risk mitigation, including project termination if necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or a similar discipline.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
