Senior FP&A Analyst

Summary:

We are looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst to drive optimization of product margins and the customer pricing processes in partnership with various business functions. 


This position will be responsible for the ongoing analysis of product margins, including but not limited to Price/Volume/Mix analysis and reporting. This role will work cross functionally, requiring an individual that thrives in a collaborative environment. Additionally, the success of this role requires advanced systems expertise, and the capability to develop tools to mine large volume data sets and synthesize the data to highlight actionable information.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop process to flow large data sets from multiple reporting entities to common data lake and implement a user interface to extract synthesized data.
  • Identify data anomalies and partner with appropriate business partners to troubleshoot
  • Track product margin performance, including ability to see by various time, product, customer, and sales segment parameters.
  • Develop scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to inform financial impact associated with changes in product input costs and/or selling prices
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales and demand performance, including variance and trend analysis
  • Provide strategic insights and analytical support to help guide business decisions
  • Work with IT to develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into Sales & Margin performance
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Category Management teams on the annual and quarterly customer price update process, including executing customer pricing records in NetSuite
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization around customer pricing
  • Partner with Supply Chain on projects aimed at reducing costs and enhancing overall margin performance
  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis, and projects as determined by Finance leadership

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant field of study
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finance or another relevant data analytics/BI field
  • Initiative and results orientation, operating with a strong sense of urgency
  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced, growing environment
  • Organized and can manage process improvement initiatives
  • Detailed orientation, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong Business Acumen, with a natural curiosity to learn key business drivers
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau)
  • Experience with ERP tools, preferred NetSuite
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

 

 

Physical Demands:

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.



Travel Requirement up to 15%:
