About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team at Tanger Factory Outlet. As a key member of our financial planning and analysis team, you will play a critical role in spearheading our annual budgeting process, monthly and quarterly reforecasting, revenue and expense variance analysis, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior operational and marketing teams to develop accurate assumptions and analytical inputs for budgeting and reforecasting of property expenses, marketing, marketing partnerships, and loyalty line items.
  • Work with Regional VPs of Marketing to budget and forecast monthly national advertising, loyalty, and customer experience P/Ls, as well as marketing expenses and income at each property.
  • Regularly meet with key stakeholders to discuss variances to budget and promote transparency and financial discipline.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with operations, marketing, accounting, and other departments throughout the organization.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to provide fulsome analysis through NOI and robust comparison of centers and their trends/profitability.
  • Perform budget and forecast analysis to ensure accuracy and challenge/confirm assumptions.
  • Identify, understand, analyze, and provide insight into key changes from prior forecasts.
  • Provide timely resolution of issues when budget or forecast assumptions aren't clear or don't match systems.
  • Provide variance reporting to senior management monthly.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis, including explanations of variances to forecast, budget, and prior periods. Prepare other ad hoc analysis as requested.
  • Work with the FP&A team to improve expense tracking accuracy to improve the forecasting, planning, and analytical work products.
  • Work with the FP&A team to understand primary revenue drivers and interpret/enter projections into the systems.
  • Assist in corporate department budgeting and reforecasting as needed.
  • Recognize process improvements within the budgeting and forecasting realm, including but not limited to: process streamlining and automation opportunities; leveraging technology; and documentation of key assumptions.
About You
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • You have 4+ years' experience in corporate budgeting or financial planning & analysis.
  • You have experience in predictive analytics and data visualization tools.
  • You have a strong understanding of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • You have a high technical aptitude with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and budgeting software such as MRI and B&F.
  • You can establish credibility through respectful, thoughtful engagements, attention to detail, professional integrity, and financial insight.
  • You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail at the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
  • You excel at relationship management, communication, and data accuracy and hand-off.
  • You have experience in systems such as Power BI, MRI, and Vena.
  • You can roll-up your sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
