Overview:

Elevate your career with CHAGEE as a Procurement Manager.

Through our stores across Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Thailand, we serve a staggering 100 million cups of tea monthly. CHAGEE is excited to expand to the US market, and this is your chance to be part of an exhilarating journey as we deliver the taste of authentic tea culture to America.


What you'll do:

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant purchasing including but not limited to purchasing, procurement, and inventory systems
  • Other tasks include monitoring adherence to all laws and safety guidelines along with analyzing and evaluating costs, sourcing goods and materials and reporting information to ownership and management
  • Source and procure supplies, components, and packaging and raw materials (i.e. milk, fruit) required for restaurant, deli, and bakery
  • Source and develop new vendors, craft negotiation strategies and terms on price, payment, and lead time, and close deals with optimal terms
  • Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Forecast price, analyze customer buying patterns and market trends to identify and optimize product assortment, pricing as well as changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  • Other projects and tasks may be delegated as needed


Experience you need to be successful:

  • 4-5 years experience in purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the food industry
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-starter with the ability to learn, grow, and adapt quickly
  • Strong knowledge of packaging, raw materials (i.e. milk, fruit) catagory
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relation
  • Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
  • A way-maker mentality that thrives in quickly evolving situations
