Job Summary: 

The Inventory Demand Planner at CMI is responsible for managing and analyzing CMI’s sellable inventory to ensure continuous fulfillment of customer orders. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, forecasting customer demand, and coordinating with various teams to optimize inventory allocation.


Location

This position requires working at our home office, Monday through Friday.  


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Inventory Analysis: Continually analyze sales data and inventory levels to develop comprehensive inventory strategies. Utilize statistical forecasting methods to predict future customer demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Demand Planning: Develop, maintain, and optimize the forward-looking demand plan. Adjust demand plans based on market trends, seasonality, and promotional activities.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy across all warehouses and supplier pipelines. Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to maintain balanced levels.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Provide input to the supply planning organization. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Reporting and Communication: Create detailed inventory reports. Report potential inventory gaps or over-runs and track any perceived risks or discrepancies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements. Stay updated on industry best practices in supply chain management.


Required Skills and Abilities: 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Proficiency in ERP systems.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 

Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel knowledge. 


Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field,  preferred.  Significant experience may substitute for education.

1-3 years of proven experience in inventory management and demand planning.


Compensation and Benefits: 

We offer a competitive base salary with eligibility for a quarterly bonus (that’s four times a year). Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and company-paid life and disability insurance. Team members receive three weeks of vacation annually, along with two personal days, and 12 paid holidays.
