The Quality Assurance and Sanitation Manager is responsible for overseeing and refining the

Safety and Quality Assurance program for the powder fill manufacturing plant facility. Taking

leadership to manage all functions related to food safety compliance and company standards

across all associated manufacturing, warehouse, and sanitation channels. Serve as the subject

matter expert for local, state, and federal food safety legislation.


This is a DIRECT HIRE position with a pay range of $95 - $105/K (depending on experience, longevity and skill set)

Responsibilities:

● Responsible for reviewing and ensuring effective implementation of monitoring

programs.

● Establishes and implements procedures for food safety in the areas of manufacturing,

warehouse, maintenance, and hygiene/sanitation as required and/or recommended by

SQF, FDA, HACCP, GMP, and state regulations.

● Familiar with published guidelines for cGMP found in 21 CFR 111 and 117

● Directs the training needs of facilities’ personnel specific to GMPs, GDPs, HACCP, and

SQF programs.

● Creates equipment and facility sanitation program and enforces schedule.

● Establishes and executes third party testing processes and controls for raw materials,

WIPs, and finished products.

● Management of approved supplier vendor and ingredients program, regulatory, 3rd party

audits, customer claims, verification, and validation programs.

● Investigates matters or deviations and develops solutions for continuous improvement.

● Knowledge of Pest Control compliance when dealing with food. The ability to work with

the management team and pest companies when pest issues arise from inbound,

outbound, or in the warehouse.

● Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of quality control measures.

● Create and Develop SOPs and documentation.

● Ability to update the Food Safety Management System.

● Train management and leaders of warehouses in food safety, facility audits, glass/brittle

plastics audits, Allergen Control, Sanitation, Pest Control, etc.

● Audit training and vendor compliance programs/facilities, third-party logistics, product

ingredients, and internal warehouses.

● Maintains documentation as required to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and

local regulations.

● Conducts required meetings and training with employees and management to ensure all

parties are properly informed on all information related to food safety and quality

assurance.

● Serves as part of the food safety decision making operative and makes decisions related

to food safety.

● Performs other duties as assigned by management.

● Manage, coach and develop staff to achieve FSQA goals and objectives.

● Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure staffing is adequate and policies and

procedures are followed.

● Consistently provides guidance and establishes expectations of direct reports


QUALIFICATIONS:

● 3+ years' experience in a Supervisory & Manager capacity

● Experience in cGMP and SQF facility or scheme recognized under GFSI

● Strong leadership with history of staff development and oversight

● Experience in certifications include cGMP, HACCP and SQF Practitioner

● Professional, articulate and team oriented

● Analytical and decisive with the ability to achieve organizational goals.

● Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

● Highly meticulous

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Solution oriented and resourceful

● Self-starter with outstanding organizational and analytical skills
