Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior UX Researcher to join our dynamic UX team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research methodologies and a proven track record of translating research insights into actionable design recommendations. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will lead research initiatives, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and developers to create user-centered products that meet both user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute comprehensive user research studies, including contextual inquiries, user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
  • Develop and maintain user personas, user journey maps, and other research artifacts to inform design decisions.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user research findings into the design and development process.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring a user-centered approach to design.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and refine research processes and methodologies to ensure high-quality and impactful research outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio showcasing your research process and impact on design.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with at least one of the following tools: UserTesting, Lookback, Optimal Workshop, or Hotjar for user research and testing.
  • Experience with at least one of the following tools: Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or Axure RP for creating research-driven design prototypes.
  • Experience with at least one of the following tools: Crazy Egg, Google Analytics, or FullStory for usability testing and analytics.
  • Experience with at least one of the following tools: Miro, Notion, or Balsamiq for collaboration and planning.
  • Experience with at least one of the following tools: Zeplin, Abstract, or Marvel for collaboration and handoff, ensuring research insights are effectively communicated to the design and development teams.
  • Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis methods.
  • Experience leading research projects for large-scale, complex systems.
