ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE, MISSION VETCHECK PROGRAM (P/T)


As the Mission VetCheck Program Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our phone banking program. Working collaboratively with volunteers and staff, you will ensure veterans are followed up with by providing accurate referral information to NYC Department of Veterans’ Services, and providing data and technical support. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about serving veterans and eager to support meaningful volunteer engagement.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review spreadsheets containing data from 300+ calls and create individual forms to document each call's outcomes and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Pull and organize data for the Mission VetCheck phone banking program, ensuring that volunteers have access to accurate, up-to-date information to assist in outreach efforts.
  • Oversee the follow-up process to ensure that veterans contacted during the phone banking initiative are being appropriately followed up with and connected to needed resources.
  • Listen to volunteer calls to ensure that correct information is being shared and that veterans' needs are being met effectively and respectfully.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when handling large datasets in spreadsheets.
  • Comfort with technology. Familiarity with CallHub phone banking platform a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen to and provide feedback on volunteer interactions.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A passion for supporting veterans and working in a mission-driven, volunteer-oriented environment.


COMPENSATION


This remote role offers a pay rate of $25 per hour for up to 10 hours per week, lasting through June 2025 (up to 35 weeks). The total compensation for this period is up to $8,750.
