Position Summary
The Associate Director, Regional Alumni Outreach, will be responsible for building a strategy for engagement and managing regional alumni clubs and volunteers in both the United States and abroad. The Associate Director will lead clubs in the creation and execution of various types of alumni programs and events with the goal of engaging NYU alumni as well as parents and students in the cultural, intellectual and academic life of NYU. The Associate Director will also manage a strategic volunteer recruitment, training and retention plans, managing NYU’s relationship with approximately 50-100 critical alumni volunteers in leadership positions around the world.

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years event management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience: 5+ years experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized and creative. Strong experience with alumni relations, events planning, logistics, and management. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of students, staff, faculty and alumni. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Familiarity with presentation software and desktop publishing applications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with MS Office and Powerpoint. Exposure to fundraising software, such as Advance.
