Job Summary

The Program Associate will provide administrative support to the Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, and Housing Program in the overall operation of the assigned property. This role will provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, vendors, and visitors, and accurately communicate information both orally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process initial housing applications and assess applicant eligibility using prescribed methods, in compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements.
  2. Ensure resident files are accurate, organized, and maintained in compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements.
  3. Assist with the accurate and timely collection of monthly rent from residents and service of notices to residents of overdue rent.
  4. Oversee and assist in the resolution of any resident and/or maintenance-related emergencies.
  5. Process check requests and ensure all vendor services are completed accurately.
  6. Prepare work orders, sort mail, and prepare flyers as needed.
  7. Provide set up and clean up assistance for resident activities.
  8. Attend and participate in any trainings required by funding bodies and/or Catholic Charities.

Physical Requirements

  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day.
  • Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Climb up and down up to 6 flights of stairs at a time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Background check, including any program-specific requirements.
  • Physical examination.
  • TB Testing.
  • Drug Testing.
  • Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Agency-specified automobile insurance.

Education and Experience Requirements

Relevant Education:

Preferred: Associate's Degree or Secretarial School.

Minimum: High School.

Relevant Experience:

Preferred: 2 Years of office experience.

Minimum: 1 Year of office experience.

Certification/Licensure:

Preferred: NNCHM Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification.

Minimum: NCHM Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification to be obtained by the 24-month anniversary of employment.
