Position: Global Payroll and Benefits Manager

As the Global Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll and benefits processes for our international operations in the US, UK, and India. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing while optimizing our benefits programs to attract and retain top talent globally.


Key Deliverables:

  • Optimize payroll processes, reducing errors and ensuring compliance with all local regulations and tax laws.
  • Implement standardized global payroll policies resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing within the first 6 months.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships, negotiate improved terms, and maintain compliance with service level agreements, ensuring smooth payroll operations.
  • Conduct quarterly audits, maintaining data accuracy and ensuring statutory compliance across international locations
  • Optimize benefits programs, resulting in increased employee satisfaction and retention rates within the first year.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage payroll processing on a bi-weekly and monthly basis for exempt and non-exempt employees in the US (multi-state) and multiple international locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in payroll processing and payroll tax filings
  • Develop and implement standardized global payroll processes and policies to streamline operations and ensure consistency across regions.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and HR team to ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in each country.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll and benefits matters, providing guidance and support to HR team and stakeholders globally.
  • Manage vendor relationships with payroll service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met and resolving issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy in payroll records and benefits administration.
  • Global administration of benefit and pension/401(k) offerings including management of annual testing, and auditing of the US 401(k) plan. Continuously assess and improve global benefits programs to align with industry best practices and meet the diverse needs of employees across different regions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll. Respond to tax and unemployment notices and employment verification requests.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits management, including at least 3 years of international experience in the US, UK, and India.
  • Strong knowledge of international payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and overseeing payroll service providers.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data and ensure accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Payroll Systems, including Rippling.
  • Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) would be advantageous.
