Vaco Boston is partnered with a reputable software company looking for Payroll Manager to lead its department. A big part of the job will be to supervise a payroll team and liaise with other professionals. An ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. The client values integrity, team spirit, and ownership of tasks. Payroll Manager responsibilities are:
• Run the payroll department and supervise a team of payroll specialists and oversee the weekly and biweekly payroll processing
• Post and review payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger
• Ensure payroll procedures are compliant, efficient and current
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments)
• Coordinate timekeeping an payroll systems
• Supervising payroll activities
• Adhering to the labor/company regulations
• Handling any payroll issues effectively and quickly
Payroll Manager requirements:
• Experience using UKG software is required
• Background at implementing payroll strategies, policies, and procedures
• Multi-state payroll processing for a large organization, including various taxing authorities
• Familiar with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook are preferred
• BA/BSc degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field

Payroll Manager preferences:
• Proficient analytical skills
• MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook are preferred
• Great problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
