Essential Job Functions:

• Lead a small team to gather information on customer and program requirements, submit grant or other subsidy applications, and manage customer, company, and program administrator expectations.

• Build relationships with program administrators, including federal/state/local government entities and influencers.

• Work with Business Development and Strategic Partnerships teams as necessary to acquire new customers.

• Perform research to support targeted broadband expansion, including analyzing competitive data, environmental concerns, etc.

• Give regular updates to customers regarding regulatory compliance and filing needs.

• Educate internal and external partners on program requirements, availability, and business expansion opportunities.

• Work with the Engineering and Project Management teams to meet customer requirements, including project start/end dates and other metrics.


Education and Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.


Prior Experience:

• 5+ years of experience managing Government Relations and/or Regulatory Affairs for a utility or telecommunications company preferred.

• Experience with the Rural Utilities Service, RDOF, and/or BEAD is strongly preferred.

• Permitting experience with federal agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management preferred.


Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (required).


Skills and Abilities:

• Critical thinking skills and capable of analyzing issues and solving problems.

• Demonstrated sound decision-making abilities.

• Strong organizational skills, handling various tasks simultaneously, prioritizing commitments, and working effectively under project deadlines.

• Ability to build a team and promote teamwork, creating a positive team culture.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and customers.

Pay:

Yearly Salary $120,000 to $135,000 depending on experience and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on meeting core business objectives.

This salary range is specific to Colorado. Other locations may be adjusted to meet the cost of living.


Conditions of Employment:

• Hybrid work environment.

• Ability to travel approximately 20% as needed.

• Able to pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen as part of the selection process.

• Authorized to work within the United States.
