PLEASE NOTE: You must be located in New Jersey, this position will be on-site full-time.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and has knowledge of electrical codes who can interpret blueprints and building plans.


This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional looking to develop their skills and grow within the electrical contracting industry.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction practices and terminology is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in the office and in the field.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Drawing take-off experience required.
  • Ability to work independently.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze blueprints to determine wire lengths and outlet placement based on codes.
  • Take-offs
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to quantify materials, labor, and other project costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Determine potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
  • Researching market prices for project materials & equipment.
  • Improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated & actual project costs.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
  • Site surveys/walk through
