Senior Hardware Engineer - High-Frequency Trading Systems
Our client, a $30BN Systematic Trading Firm based in Chicago, is expanding their Hardware Design and Verification team. To achieve their growth plans, they are seeking an exceptional Hardware Engineer to drive the development of cutting-edge Hardware solutions for high-frequency trading (HFT) platforms.
As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you'll work in ultra-low latency environments, pushing the boundaries of low latency design for financial applications. Your role will involve:
- Designing and implementing advanced FPGA solutions for HFT systems
- Developing and validating low-latency designs optimized for performance
- Coding and testing hardware designs for reliability in high-stakes trading environments
- Collaborating with top-performing trading and tech teams.
Technologies: VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), Python/Tcl, C++, RTL (Register-Transfer Level) designs
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in Hardware/FPGA/ASIC Platform designs
- Strong hands-on skills in VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, or C++
- Expertise in designing low-latency hardware
- Solid understanding of financial markets and electronic trading systems (preferred)
