Basic Solutions is looking for a Senior Hardware Tester and Automation Specialist to join our team. This is a long-term contract role with an estimated salary of $100,000 - $160,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee team of lab technicians, triage new tasks and requests
  • Create documentation, training materials, and maintain updates
  • Coordinate calibrations, EHS findings, project logistics, and facilities maintenance
  • Automatically navigate tasks with minimal guidance while completing work requests
  • Ensure the technician team has proper training and meets SLAs
  • Clone and deploy OS images, update firmware, and support hardware engineers
  • Remotely support HW/SW engineers on technical issues and resolutions
  • Read and analyze failure logs, providing a quick summary to Test/FW developers
  • Setup, configure, network enable server hardware from bench to cluster level for testing
  • Track and manage resources including for module, system, bench and cluster testing
  • Perform tests on server hardware systems, modules, and devices
  • Support system debug work, Monitor test runs and recover 'unresponsive' clients
  • Assist with validation and verification of new hardware platforms
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree
  • 3+ years of industry experience in data center equipment testing
  • Familiar with Linux OS
  • Experience with server hardware testing
  • Skill to gather data with scripts
  • Skill to gather, process, and summarize test data and results
  • Experience and understanding of using PCIe test fixtures
  • Experience with system function, stability, and power consumption testing
  • Experience with server BMC
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
