Who we are:

We, The very creative firm, specialize in large-scale live shows & events, video productions & commercials. With live shows & events you should think of corporate events/launches for clients like Fisker, Snowflake, BMW, Louis Vuitton, Smartsheet, etc. but we also produce shows for many clients from Insomniac (EDC, Escape: Psycho Circus, Countdown, etc.) to the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and everything in between.

This role reports to the CEO. You work in collaboration with internal partners such as project managers, finance, creative, etc. making sure that the appropriate support is there for you to do your job.


Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role as a New Business Development Manager. The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new sales leads, creating sales presentations, managing accounts, and developing new business.


General Summary:

The New Business Development Managers' primary responsibility is growing our customer list and getting us in front of the right people for creative concept presentations and RFPs. The goal is to set appointments with each prospect, educate them on the offerings we have and how those services can help brands/companies, and move them to a signed contract. Identifying opportunities in target markets is key. We expect you to generate leads through your existing network and develop and nurture relationships.

This position requires a high level of independence, business acumen, and strong client service. Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of competitors and following up on all leads is of high importance.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research and execute Business Development strategy consistent with the firm’s brand message and expansion goals that will guide their Business Development activities.
  • Actively seeking out new business opportunities, using your own network of industry contacts and reaching out to potential future clients
  • Develop and drive inquiries for new business (including RFQs/RFPs) and collaborate with firm leadership to strategize responses.
  • Manage and maintain Copper database with client and collaborator relationships
  • Assess potential new clients, projects, regions, and strategies for proactive outreach
  • Perform market research and prepare regular status updates for management
  • Seeking out and attending key networking events and professional exhibitions
  • Responsible for the whole value chain of researching and unearthing opportunities to land the deal.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/marketing
  • 5-7 years experience in business development, preferably within event management, show production and/or video production.
  • A proven track record of gaining new business projects in North America
  • Ability to work well within deadlines
  • Detailed-oriented, strategic, and excellent organizational, communication, and timeline skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • True self-starter – be proactive and move initiatives forward with limited guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Team player who is flexible and willing to adapt and take on diverse roles as needed to support the team and achieve collective success.
  • Proficiency in Keynote, Google programs, Slack, and experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for networking events and TVCF events.
  • All legal permits and visas required to work in the U.S

Combination of base salary & generous sales commission
