Position Overview:

In the role of Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you'll steer the strategic direction for our client's cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring its security and managing associated processes and tools. Our client is seeking a candidate with a strong passion for technology, intelligence, and the ability to excel in a team-oriented setting. Proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure and experience working with international teams are key requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and technical management of our infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI and work towards achieving SOC2 compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective standards, frameworks, and processes.
  • Design and build infrastructure and processes that optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Create tools and infrastructure to boost engineering productivity.
  • Develop creative solutions to meet business challenges.
  • Prototype solutions to validate approaches when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with various scrum teams, product managers, and business units.
  • Track technical debt, highlight its significance, and aid in prioritizing its resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with financial systems, PCI, and SOC2 compliance.
