Job Knowledge


  • Assists clients in making appropriate coverage changes (low limits, missing coverages and other account deficiencies), makes each contact a marketing opportunity.
  • Informs and educates clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures; documents electronic files accordingly.
  • Explains audit procedures to clients and reviews interim reports for credibility and coverage adequacy. All audits paid or returned to carrier on time.
  • Provides technical support to Account Executives (coverage-wise, with proposal, suspense items etc.) to help clients and reach agency's business goals. Act as back-up if Account Executive is unavailable.

Operational Responsabilities


  • Checks all carrier/broker produced documents for accuracy. Communicates with and secures corrections from all carriers/brokers on incorrect items in a timely manner.
  • Follows-up on delayed new, renewal and change declarations from carriers/brokers.
  • Prepares proposals and applications, submits them to insureds and carriers, obtains clients' signatures on all applications, and follows up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with Account Executive.
  • Prepares summaries of insurance schedules and proposals for account review.
  • Invoices transactions that are received by carriers and brokers.
  • Responds to clients' needs by producing binders, certificates, policies that are not marketed, providing assistance with claims and other related items accurately and on time.
  • Coordinates all downloaded activity from carriers and handles invoicing per agency guidelines for downloaded transactions.
  • Maintains electronic files accurately and consistently. Processes incoming mail requests accurately and swiftly. Mail is handled on date received.
  • Handles interactive interface with all carriers.
  • Verifies accuracy of all cancellations, taking corrective action when necessary; uses agency credit and collection policies on all transactions; reviews walk-in payments. No over 90 days receivables.


Communications and Team Relations


  • Is punctual in reporting to and contributes positively at all meetings.
  • Contributes to the department by backing-up members of the team that are absent.
  • Returns all phone calls promptly, preferably the day they are received in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Contributes to team productivity by initiating problem resolution, project and transaction completion.
  • Keeps peers and management properly informed.


Productivity


  • Seeks referrals from client base and follows-through to get new accounts.
  • Remarkets, contacts clients and follows-up in conjunction with producers, renews policies by agency standards.
  • Visits appropriate clients in person.
  • Assists in design of or independently designs insurance plans for clients.
