Summary:


Our client is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their team The FP&A Associate is a finance leader supporting financial performance through analysis, financial reporting, IT ERP system improvement, system implementation, and process improvement. Ideal candidates are comfortable being hands-on with the team and working autonomously as well. You will partner with and report to the CEO and the Controller. As an e FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in the company's financial management by providing analytical support, financial insights, and strategic guidance to senior leadership.


Type: Full-time, Perm Position


Location: Hybrid in Burlington, WA (On-site 3-4 Days a Week / Remote 1-2 Days a Week)


Salary Range: $110k - $130k/annually, depending on experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyzing financial data.
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Providing insights to support decision-making by leadership.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
  • Collaborating with various departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitoring performance against budget and forecast and providing regular updates to management.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial models and assumptions.
  • Preparing financial reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Supporting various business categories/units.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and human resources, to provide financial support and analysis for business initiatives.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand business drivers and implications for financial performance.
  • Tracking key performance indicators and metrics (KPIs).
  • Analyzing performance trends and drivers.
  • Providing insights to improve operational efficiency and financial results.
  • Supporting business units to increase accuracy and productivity via business process and internal control improvements.
  • Assisting business units with opportunities to improve the current Financial ERP systems and/or implement a new Financial ERP system.
  • Opportunity to support the CEO directly with integration efforts for 3 business units.
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by senior management. Providing decision support and recommendations on strategic initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong, recent experience working in an FP&A role.
  • Strong attention to detail is critical.
  • Analytical thinker, organized, and unafraid to “dive in and make things better.”
  • Proficient in Financial Modeling and Data Analysis Tools like Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience.
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Solid team player who also thrives when working autonomously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (critical).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to make things happen.
  • Great attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and abilities.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics/365 online is a plus
  • A positive, “can-do” entrepreneurial attitude is a MUST
