What we need


We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager. We seek a team builder who will drive cost reduction, operations efficiency, build strong relationships, and establish a culture with a focus on cost, delivery, and quality. This role will oversee all outbound functions of operations while leading a team of 30+ hourly employees and a team of supervisors to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently to meet timely dispatch schedules. Speck Products is the OG of the mobile accessories category. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in San Mateo, California, Speck has gained recognition for its innovative and stylish cases that offer both protection and personalization for consumers' devices. Speck's cases are known for their durability, impact resistance, and slim profiles. Speck continues to innovate and expand its product offerings with the introduction of ClickLockTM attachable accessories and true wireless earbuds in 2023.

Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution, primarily in the Prepaid wireless market in North America. Alphacomm leads the wireless industry in the number of carrier brands managed and is the first to market carrier-licensed accessory portfolios for over fifty devices launched annually. In-house brands, Quikcell and BosBos, are leading brands designed and manufactured by Alphacomm for the Prepaid channel.  

Responsibilities


  • Support functions of Inbound, Stocking, Inventory Control, Order fulfillment and Shipping, as assigned. Manage production module inventory levels to maximize production.
  • Implementation of best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and monitor operational KPI’s to support business needs and growth.
  • Responsible for compliance to company safety program.
  • Team building, cross-training, and motivation of team.
  • Monitor Production schedules and adjust as needed
  • Develop and maintain (SOPs) for all production processes
  • Create and manage daily production plans based on volume and worker thruput.
  • Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficient and timely production of goals by usage of production monitoring software, dashboards, reports.
  • Evaluate employee’s performance and provide feedback, and implement necessary corrective action
  • Establish building and cultivating morale and engagement of team members
  • Experience managing product launch and promotion schedules and interact with Sales and Product departments.


Requirements


  • Must have a High School Diploma, (Associate Degree a plus)
  • Minimum of three to (5) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse technology; RF, Warehouse Management Systems. (NetSuite System experience a plus)
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, including advanced skills in Excel. Qualifications/Additional Skills/Aptitude
  • Contribute and support to the overall goals of the Operations Department.
  • Strategic thinker who takes initiative and works well independently.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints. 
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Have knowledge of production/machinery
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
