Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at National Vision, Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Production Departments: Oversee the daily functions of the production departments, ensuring that production goals are met and staff are trained and developed to perform at their best.
  • Track Production Numbers: Monitor hourly production numbers at each work station and communicate with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is running properly.
  • Implement Quality Control: Review broken items and implement plans to reduce breakage and improve product quality.
  • Manage Staff Performance: Maintain performance records for Bench associates, review associate performance through HR's performance management system, and assist the Production Manager with interviewing and selecting associates for manufacturing departments.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Cross-train associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department, update and implement department Policies and Procedures, and enforce all Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; associated degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing production preferred; 5 years of previous supervisory experience required.
  • Skills: Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel; ability to read or write English; sustained light physical effort required.
