This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the steel and construction reinforcement sectors while advancing your career. Whether you are engaged in strategic planning, operating machinery, or resolving technical challenges, you will receive the necessary training and support to thrive in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production operators as they process rebar according to customer specifications
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide coaching to shop personnel regarding employee relations and development
- Establish production targets based on customer requirements and ensure efficient material flow
- Verify that incoming stock materials are inspected for quality and properly tagged
- Ensure completion of production reports for each shift
- Facilitate the hiring process and coordinate training for new employees
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to lead safety meetings and ensure ongoing safety training
- Manage project aspects from detailing to scheduling material deliveries
- Supervise staff and set clear performance expectations
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a large rebar or similar facility is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred
