Red Cedar is looking for an experienced IT and Project Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects. This includes collaborating with leadership to establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables, all while maintaining alignment with business goals. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as a comprehensive understanding of IT systems and processes.

 

Role Responsibilities:

·      Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation

·      Implement, analyze, test, troubleshoot, and maintain networks like local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), cloud networks, and servers

·      Engage in continuous improvement efforts to streamline process and enhance project outcomes

·      Coordinate with employees, leadership, and external vendors to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and understood

·      Coordinate and conduct IT related training and establish best practices for IT project management ensuring adherence across the team and a smooth transition

·      Monitor project progress and performance against established goals and objectives, provide updates to management as needed

·      Identify potential project risks and issues, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize impact

·      Safeguard the security and privacy of networks and computer systems, including implementing security measures, monitoring security certificates, and enforcing security policies

·      Install, configure, update, and upgrade software and hardware components as needed

·      Identify, establish, and implement and maintain cloud-based storage solution

·      Manage on-boarding and off-boarding process and compliance

·      Provide technical support to users and help troubleshoot system and network issues

·      Manage data backup and system security operations, like user authorization and firewalls

·      Update technical documentation to reflect changes in system configurations and settings

·      Develop and monitor company IT compliance and best practices

·      Web and database administration

·      Manage the IT department budget and resources to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

·      Partner with external IT Solutions Company

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

·      4+ years of experience in IT & project management or a similar role

·      Strong understanding of project management methodologies

·      Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

·      Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello)

·      Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

·      Proactive self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·      PMP or similar project management certification is a plus


Schedule:

·     Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 9 am - 5 pm

·     Occasional weekend work may be required


Job Type:

·     Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week
