Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Controls Specialist to join our team at Duke Energy. As a critical lead position, you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and Project Directors on projects and programs of varying size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the setup and reviews of project controls status, including cost, contract, WBS, schedule, resource, and changes.
  • Maintain and update all cost management work for assigned projects, including gathering and establishing cost details.
  • Work with project teams to update all field work in the integrated schedule.
  • Understand phased project funding and assist in the management of monthly accruals.
  • Generate monthly reports and project documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of work-related experience, or 11 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with large civil tunneling projects and/or large hydro generation projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Certified Associate of Project Management, Project Management Professional, or AACE-EVP certification.
  • Proficiency in project management, project controls concepts, and computer applications/analytics.
