The Account Manager oversees new and existing accounts to drive ongoing revenue and profit growth for Northeast Logistics, a division of NAPA Transportation, Inc. This role ensures that customer service activities—including proactive communication with customers and internal teams, responding to inquiries, and scheduling deliveries and appointments—are executed promptly, professionally, courteously, and effectively.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to achieving profitability and service goals for the assigned customer group.
  • Manage customer scorecards and identify key factors to drive improvement.
  • Oversee the electronic acceptance of loads via EDI systems.
  • Ensure all loads are successfully covered and managed daily for assigned customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to deliver positive outcomes and experiences for customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Understand the company’s business objectives and make informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
  • Identify potential opportunities for assessorial charges based on customer contracts.
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate unresolved customer concerns to upper management when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs.


Requirements:

  • 3 + Years experience in account management, customer services or sales (preferably in transportation/logistics).
  • Best in class communication skills & relationship management.
  • Results oriented, adaptable and team player.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for customer meetings, as needed.
  • Awareness of market trends, customer trends and competitive landscape.
