Summary

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a strong Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join their growing team. The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and direction of facility wide engineering and maintenance activities


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards in a timely manner.
  • Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls (including environmental).
  • Design and development of manufacturing processes to include all SMED and POKY-YOKE activities.
  • Provides direction for all activities related to physical plant, including environmental, and coordinates/orders capital expenditure items relating to production and testing.
  • Responsible for supervision of maintenance and repair of all buildings, vehicles, equipment, and tooling.
  • Aid all areas in maintaining and improving their physical work environment policies, minimizing environmental impacts, programs and practices, to include planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing.
  • Formulating policies and procedures for the Maintenance Department and recommending policies and practices to members of management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years progressive experience in Manufacturing Engineering and 5+ years automotive industry experience required.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
  • Strong technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • Well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  • Articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in Lean Manufacturing Systems.
