Job Summary

PIM Brands, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the mechanical operations of our manufacturing facility in Somerset, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of machinery, tools, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with customer specifications, GMP guidelines, and HAACP regulations to maintain the highest level of quality and food safety.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to maintain optimal equipment performance.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control maintenance costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
  • Communication: Collaborate with plant management, production staff, and other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and that production schedules are met.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, technical and vocational education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, with 5 years of supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Skills: Technical knowledge of facility management services, steam generators, refrigeration, air conditioning, generators, blueprint reading, and equipment maintenance. Proficiency in PLC, motor controls, and pump rebuilding. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and confined space/lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Computer Literacy: Familiarity with office, technical, and parts and maintenance software packages.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop conceptual alternatives and implement solutions.
  • Leadership: Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in a food manufacturing environment.
Work Environment

The Maintenance Manager will work in a busy, active, and noisy environment typical of a manufacturing operation. The plant floor may be crowded, and motorized product transport vehicles will move throughout the facility. The Maintenance Manager must be able to work in a variety of climates and temperatures and be able to lift and move objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
