Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with global objectives.
  • Identify procurement levers and consolidate spend across multiple locations and business units.
  • Create and launch RFX or CFT events, document bid processes, and drive supplier selection.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement category and segment strategies.
  • Present category and segment strategies to contract committees for approval.
  • Act as the internal point of contact for supplier management and complaint resolution.
  • Execute supplier management programs with key suppliers, including setting performance goals and improvement initiatives.
  • Streamline business processes and improve procurement practices by researching industry trends and best practices.
  • Advise on alternative solutions, risks, total cost of ownership, and business impacts.
  • Provide budget and forecast information on pricing as requested.
  • Ensure procurement documents are auditable and filed appropriately.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to demonstrate progress against objectives.
  • Participate in and provide reports on procurement-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of procurement experience with responsibility for developing and executing category strategies; global procurement experience is desirable.
  • CPSM Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in a technical or business role within the refining and chemicals environment will be considered in lieu of procurement experience.
  • Knowledge of value chains and economics in the refining and petrochemical industry.
  • Working knowledge of legal and financial concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on communication, organization, planning, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience using SAP, e-sourcing tools, and advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
