CNC Regional Sales Manager

Our colleagues client is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to promote the sales of Swiss CNC product solutions. This person will be focused on increasing sales revenue within the defined territory with distribution partners and direct sales. The RSM will be responsible for ensuring end user expectations are clearly communicated across the organization and delivered in a timely manner. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, building customer relationships and managing multiple topics in a high-visibility role.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Swiss CNC sales and product expert within assigned territory (MN, SD, ND)
  • Develop positive relationships with customers and distribution network.
  • Meet or exceed on FY target units by product segment.
  • Spearhead regional action plans to aid in growing market share.
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and reporting to Business Unit Manager by maintaining a balanced SalesForce pipeline.
  • Maintain customer contact activities in CRM (SalesForce).
  • Produce and maintain market/industry relevant information to region.
  • Work closely with distribution partners on competitive accounts and focused industry segments.
  • Communicate with technical colleagues (engineering and project management) to deliver on customer pre-sale needs, including but not limited to in-depth product presentations and demonstrations, automation opportunities, test cuts, etc.
  • Drive post-sales communication with the highest level of integrity and sensitivity to resolve difficult customer issues supporting service and parts needs for end user satisfaction.
  • Assist in creating time studies, deal sheets and quotations in a timely manner.
  • Participate in regional industry associations and become actively involved to attract new opportunities. Attend regional and national conferences/tradeshows, and promotional events.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales experience in manufacturing, capital equipment (Swiss or CNC preferred).
  • Results driven, proven discernment and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be technical and accountable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field strongly preferred in combination of training and work experience.
  • SalesForce and working CAD knowledge required.
  • Ability to travel within territory (50%), and work onsite when not traveling. International Travel required on annual basis; must be eligible for passport and hold valid driver's license/insurance.
