Seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team in the Addison area. With a focus on accuracy and compliance, this role involves managing payroll for over 450 Union Electricians and office staff, ensuring timely processing and adherence to payroll regulations. Key responsibilities include reviewing and processing payroll transactions, preparing reports for management, and handling payroll updates.
Ideal Payroll Specialist candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably with Union employees, and proficiency in Sage 300 Construction software. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Review and enter time for weekly processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
- Processing of all payroll updates including new hires, terminations and pay rate changes
- Prepare and submit reports (weekly Payroll Summary reports, Certified Payroll reports, and Monthly Union Reports)
- Resolve payroll issues and inquiries from employees and department managers
- Track Personal Time Off
- Maintain Confidentiality of all data, reports and files
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience of payroll processing including Union employees (preferred)
- Sage 300 Construction software experience preferred
- Familiarity with LCPTracker, IDOL Certified Payroll, WH-347 forms preferred
- Ability to understand payroll related laws, standards and procedures
- Organization and time management skills a must
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Construction Payroll: 2 years experience Required
