Position Title: Laboratory IS/IT Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC (60% onsite)


Overview:

Ideally, the candidate will have a strong technical Laboratory IS/IT knowledge required to support deployment and support of Laboratory systems (LIMS/Reagent Manager/Smart Lab). The candidate must have at least 10 years of functional experience and be capable of leading Laboratory IS/IT projects. The candidate must have experience with managing Laboratory IS/IT change controls within an eQMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide validation and change management support for Laboratory systems deployment.
  • Manage system administration activities for Laboratory systems deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance on Laboratory IS/IT requirements.
  • Provide incident management support as required.
  • Support Laboratory application performance monitoring and label printing issues.
  • Identify technical/operational gaps and propose solutions.

Job Details:

  • Develop, write, edit, and format materials such as Standard Operating Procedures, Business Practices, forms, checklists, technical manuals, installation guides, user manuals, and related technical and business process documentation.
  • Adhere to format, content, and style guidelines, ensuring usability, accuracy, consistency, and quality when creating, updating, and enhancing the documentation.
  • Administer the processing of documents via the established Document Processing Review process.
  • Communicate through a variety of media (e.g., CD, intranet, online training, etc.).

Required Skills:

  • MS Office expertise
  • Previous technical writing experience
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Document version control experience
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree
  • OR
  • Master’s degree and 3 years of experience
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience
  • OR
  • Associate degree and 10 years of experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong technical Laboratory IS/IT knowledge
  • Experience with deployment and support of Laboratory systems (LIMS/Reagent Manager/Smart Lab)
  • At least 10 years of functional experience
  • Proven capability in leading Laboratory IS/IT projects
  • Experience managing Laboratory IS/IT change controls within an eQMS

Interview Process:

  • 2 Rounds of Interviews
