Integer, a boutique lobbying firm specializing in tax and philanthropic policy, is seeking a Paid Policy Research Fellow for a three-month position, with a performance evaluation after three months and the potential to continue with the firm. This position is ideally suited for recent graduates or developing professionals with a strong interest in politics and who can work normal business hours in an office environment. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, have the ability to produce excellent written work geared toward diverse audiences, and work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

 

Duties include legislative research and memo writing, monitoring and analyzing Congressional hearings and events, political and electoral analysis, and administrative duties. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong interest in politics, public policy, and a career in Washington, D.C.
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Superior organizational and administrative skills
  • Baseline understanding of federal politics, the current political landscape, and key players in Washington
  • An eagerness to immerse themselves in new policy areas
  • Ability to distill complex topics and/or political activities in ways that are easily digestible to a broad audience
  • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

 

Exceptional candidates will also have:

  • Experience or familiarity with tax, nonprofit, and/or energy policy
  • Experience navigating federal agencies, relevant third parties, and associations
  • Hill experience
  • Social media or communications experience
