JOB SUMMARY:
Our Vice President of Business Development creates sales and marketing strategies which deliver corporate revenue and profit objectives. Leads the development and closure of new business opportunities through direct solicitation, lead generation, and customer development. Leads all efforts to create, grow and maintain key customer relationships. Creates and manages overall marketing plans, programs and budgets which support sales objectives. Displays industry knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm in all internal and external business activities.
MUST LIVE IN FLORIDA or WILLING TO RELOCATE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for attainment of company’s annual sales plan/ objectives.
- Develops and executes the account growth strategy. Manages key customer relationships and is responsible for closing strategic opportunities.
- Develops and ensures utilization of tools and resources which generate and qualify business leads supporting the company’s growth objectives (including cold calls and in-person visits).
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership and other company functions.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell the company’s logistics services to current and potential customers.
- Develops and implements various marketing activities which raise overall awareness of CWI Logistics capabilities and accomplishments to drive additional sales leads. Manages CWI Logistics company Marketing and Sales budget.
- Communicates with operations personnel regarding opportunities for warehouse occupancy, transportation projects and packaging sales to better define, prioritize and guide sales efforts and activity.
- Responsible for the RFP/rate quote processes, coordinate solution development & pricing with Operations, and lead contract negotiations.
- Partners with operations, IT and customer service personnel to identify and offer solutions to existing and potential client problems.
- Maintains company customer database with all prospects, customer interactions and pipeline information.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBR’s) with customers in relation to contractual commitments and account maintenance.
- Oversee contract administration functions.
- Assist in collection of past due customer invoices.
- Represent the Company at industry trade shows and business events.
- Provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting and other key performance indicators.
- Always represent the Company in a professional, moral, and ethical manner.
- Travels as required to meet lead generation and revenue objectives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
Minimum 5 years of business-to business (B2B) sales
Experience in Logistics (3PL) or Supply Chain industry
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in contract language and pricing strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient use of computer software, utilizing Microsoft office
Demonstrated work ethic, customer-facing skills
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills, required
Professional presentation, proposal, contract negotiation and contract preparation skills
Collaborative nature with cross-functional teams and ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
Ability to travel as needed (10%)
