Position Summary


The Client Services Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the development and execution of all client service aspects of DSI’s projects, new and existing. To ensure that the final product meets the strategic objectives of the client and is in keeping with DSI standards of excellence.  


Project Oversight 

  • Oversee the management and delivery of projects, ensuring consistently high standards throughout
  • Builds and manages the overall client relationship and ensures regular client updates, oversees and drives revenue projections and reports to leadership, works closely with the finance team to ensure invoices are executed and paid on time, and contracts all client business
  • Leads and oversees the clients’ business, so we’re better positioned to meet (or anticipate) their needs
  • Interrogates, clarifies and interprets client briefs, so that everyone at DSI is aligned on what we need to deliver
  • Retain ultimate responsibility for delivering for the client
  • Works with the project team and ensures they are clear at every stage of the project lifecycle.


Internal Team Management 

  • Oversees project teams, overseeing the quality and timeliness of their work and to ensure their time spent within scope
  • Communicates actively with production, creative and design, technical and production departments as well as clients
  • Lead internal process requirements for project delivery, including managing project folders
  • Works with creative and design team to ensure the overall look and feel and creative vision is achieved throughout the project
  • Plays a key role onsite and is seen as the go to for all client needs.


New Business

  • Work with strategy and creative teams to develop RFP responses and new business pitches, as needed
  • Participate in new business meetings with potential clients, as needed
  • Contracting all new clients and their onboarding
  • Work with marketing manager, where applicable to better promote the business


Overall  

  • Contribute to the implementation of agreed health and safety standards on projects
  • Fully understand and implements greater Agency Process
  • Contribute to growing a healthy company culture and always looking to improve our communication and processes
  • Consider and actively pursue sustainability practices within our projects as best we can


Experience and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of client services in large-scale events
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while successfully prioritizing the most important details
  • Excellent in planning and project management
  • Experience in selling and contracting clients 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to accurate documentation and great attention to detail          
  • High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal initiative and independence in achieving outcomes
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment 
  • Willingness to accept wide range of responsibilities
  • Willing to travel for all assigned projects
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate in a professional and confident manner with clients
